On January 30, the NewsReader project will organise a hackathon in London. On January 21st the first January 2015 hackathon took place in the Amsterdam public library.

Our hackathons may be interesting to you if:
- You’re a data journalist on an automotive desk;
- You’re an analyst sifting daily news looking for information on your company or on competitors;
- You’re a data analyst looking to understand how your customers operate their supply chain
- You’re an analyst trying to find secondary events that could influence an investment decision;
During the event, you get to play with data that has been processed using the NewsReader processing pipeline and you can ask the NewsReader team members about the technology.

The Amsterdam hackathon will start at 09:30 on 21 January and will take place in the Vestdijk and Haasse meeting rooms on the 6th floor of the Amsterdam Public Library which can be easily reached by public transport. Attendance is free, but please register here.
The London hackathon will start at 09:00 on 30 January and will take place at the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and is within walking distance of the Westminster tube station. Attendance is free, but please register here.
